Aims and Scope

International Journal of Urology and Nephrology ISSN 2091-1254 is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes clinically relevant articles in all areas of urology and nephrology. The journal considers articles dealing with the prevention, diagnosis and management of urological disorders, kidney and associated disorders, as well as related molecular genetics, pathophysiology, and epidemiology.

The journal presents investigative studies on critical areas of research and practice, survey articles providing short condensations of the best and most important urology and nephrology literature worldwide, and practice-oriented reports on significant clinical observations. Specifically, the journal has the following aims:

  • To publish urology and nephrology papers that are on the cutting edge of surgical technology in the field of medicine, including minimally invasive robotic and laparoscopic surgery, laser-assisted surgeries, and a host of other scope-guided procedures.
  • To publish all articles focusing on surgical and medical diseases of the male and female urinary tract system and the male reproductive organs as well as normal kidney function, kidney problems, the treatment of kidney problems and renal replacement therapy (dialysis and kidney transplantation). Also, articles concerned with  the systemic conditions that affect the kidneys (such as diabetes and autoimmune disease) and systemic problems that occur as a result of kidney problems (such as renal osteodystrophy and hypertension) are also welcome.
  • To provide practical, timely, and relevant clinical and basic science information to physicians and researchers practicing the art of urology and nephrology worldwide.
  • To publish manuscripts dealing with both clinical and laboratory investigations of relevance to the broad fields of nephrology, dialysis and transplantation.
